Vehicle air conditioning systems are designed to perform two basic functions:-

• to cool the passenger compartment air to a lower temperture than the ambient (outside) air
• to de-humidify the passenger compartment air to a comfortable level

In order to carry out these functions successfully the system must be able to counter the effects of unwanted heat and relative air humidity in the vehicle interior.

As the owner of a vehicle fitted with air conditioning, you will appreciate the many benefits of a correctly functioning system; sitting in traffic jams or travelling at high speeds, with the windows closed, makes for a comfortable and safer journey in any situation.

Tips and Advice:-

We reccomend that you run the air conditioning in your vehicle for at least 10 - 15 mins every month, this will circulate the oil in the system and will keep the seals lubricated. This will help to prevent leaks.

You can run the air conditioning in the winter months. Switch the air conditioning on and just adjust the temperture to warm. This will bring warm dry air into the vehicle and will help to de-mist your windows.
